Summary

According to sources, the victim's offshore oil and gas platforms' communication networks have been targeted by cyber attackers in recent weeks. The head of information technology for a key oil company in the country confirmed the cyber-attack attempts on the offshore platforms' information networks. The attacks have been repelled, and the telephone operations on the platforms and other oil and gas operations in a critical gulf region are reported to be functioning normally.
